Hedgerow’s short breaks residential service is looking for motivated people to work in our service supporting adults with learning disabilities. The role involves empowering individuals to make informed choices about their support, activities in-house, and in the community.
Hedgerows is located in Staplehurst, near Maidstone.
We offer short break stays for up to four people, providing them and their caregivers with a break. This rewarding role involves assisting with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect, and encouraging independence skills.
Flexibility is required from team members to meet the business needs, with opportunities for extra hours.
The annual salary ranges from £26,393 to £27,713 pro rata (£13.72 to £14.41 per hour), with enhancements for bank holidays, sleep-in duties (£40.76 per shift), and overtime opportunities.

After a thorough induction, you will support individuals to ensure their safety and provide comfort, stimulation, and reassurance for enjoyable stays.
Requirements include:
* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to achieve within two years)
* Care Certificate (if not already held)
* Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or Autism
* Knowledge of safeguarding
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Skills in recording, reporting, and monitoring
