£460 - £490 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role
This Primary School in South Shields (NE33) is currently recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis from September 2026. The KS2 Teaching Assistant who is successful in securing this position will be working across Year 3 and Year 4, providing general classroom support as well as group interventions. The role is full-time, and will run for two terms. This is a ‘Good’ school, where staff go above and beyond to ensure each child has the tools they need to achieve.
Requirements
The desired KS2 Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
