Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Lead – Outside IR35 Contract (6 months initial)

A global manufacturing group is seeking a hands-on GRC Lead to redesign, implement, and embed a modern, practical governance, risk, and compliance framework—focused on risk, aligned with business needs, and outcome-oriented, rather than just policies.
This contract role is ideal for someone skilled in translating GRC principles into actionable practices for operational teams, and capable of integrating legal, IT, finance, and operations around shared risk perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and embed a governance and control framework suitable for diverse business units.
* Lead the practical implementation of ISMS and other frameworks, emphasizing value and effectiveness.
* Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to clarify risk ownership and compliance roles.
* Challenge outdated mindsets and promote a modern, risk-aware culture across the organization.
* Focus on execution—ensuring behaviors and accountability are embedded, not just documented.
Required Skills and Experience:
