* Define and improve best practices for documentation and design traceability
* Design and develop PCBs (rigid, flex, and rigid-flex), motor control systems, and embedded systems
* Drive design verification, validation, and automated testing of electrical assemblies and systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, product) to ensure system-level integration and compliance
* Support fielded products through well-documented troubleshooting and design updates

Qualifications:

* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
* 3+ years of full-time professional experience in embedded systems hardware design, preferably in a regulated industry
* Strong knowledge of design documentation practices (e.g., DHF, risk, traceability, test protocols)
* Proficiency in schematic capture, board layout, mixed-signal circuit design, and microcontroller-based system development
* Familiarity with FDA design control requirements and product lifecycle documentation
* Experience supporting medical devices in the field
* Knowledge of IEC 60601 and other relevant electrical/medical standards
* Experience improving document management systems and change control processes
* Self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to innovate
* Strong attention to detail (hint: Mystery question answer is 23, we're asking to help filter out AI only applicants)
* Bonus: FPGA design experience (VHDL/Verilog), simulation, synthesis, and timing optimization for medical or similarly high-reliability systems
