Role Responsibilities
As an Audit Director, you will be responsible for:
* Leading the audit function, ensuring the highest levels of quality and compliance
* Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and corporate entities
* Acting as an RI (Responsible Individual), signing off audit reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
* Developing and implementing audit strategies, improving processes, and driving efficiency
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of auditors, supporting their career progression
* Building strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, and providing valuable insights
* Working closely with Partners to develop business opportunities and expand the firm’s audit offering
* Staying up to date with audit regulations and technical developments, ensuring best practices are followed

The Successful Applicant
* RI (Responsible Individual) status
* ACA or ACCA qualification, with significant experience in audit leadership
* Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
* A proven track record of managing audits for a broad client base
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to drive business development and client growth
* Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
