An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an MRTPI AssociateDirector to join one of the South East’s most successful planningconsultancies.
This role will play a key part in growing the Reading office and strengthening its presence across the Thames Valley. With a strong pipeline of strategic housing projects alongside commercial and employment-led development, the Associate Director will have responsibility for client management, staff leadership and business development.
The Role
This is a senior appointment requiring both technical credibility and commercial leadership.
Responsibilities
* Leading major residential and mixed‑use planning strategies
* Acting as senior advisor to key developer and investor clients
* Driving business development and winning new work
* Managing and mentoring a team of planners
* Financial oversight of projects including profitability and resourcing
* Leading Local Plan examination work and strategic land promotion
* Leading planning appeals, hearings and inquiry preparation
* Supporting recruitment and office growth strategy
About You
* Experience managing staff, budgets and client relationships
* Strong market presence across Berkshire / Thames Valley
* Commercially driven with leadership gravitas
