Responsibilities
* Design and deliver high-impact training programmes aligned with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
* Translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into practical, industry-relevant learning interventions.
* Facilitate workshops for multidisciplinary audiences including designers, project managers, contractors, and client representatives.
* Develop learning materials, case studies, and simulation-based exercises to reinforce real-world CDM application.
* Advise organisations on CDM duty holder responsibilities, risk management, and compliance strategies.
* Conduct training needs analysis and tailor programmes to organisational maturity and project complexity.
* Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessment data, and continuous improvement frameworks.
* Stay current with updates from Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and evolving best practices in construction safety and design risk management.
* Support behavioural change initiatives to embed a proactive safety culture across project lifecycles.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align training with broader organisational capability and compliance goals.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
* Strong working knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and associated Approved Codes of Practice.
* Recognised health & safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a CDM Advisor / Principal Designer / Health & Safety Consultant role within the construction sector.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering technical training programmes for adult learners.
* Membership of a relevant professional body such as Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or Association for Project Safety.
* Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to contextualise regulatory requirements within real project environments and case scenarios.
* Experience with digital learning tools, blended learning approaches, and competency assessment frameworks.
* Continuous professional development mindset with up-to-date knowledge of construction safety trends and innovations.
