We’re looking for a PSV Mechanic to strengthen our engineering team, ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and ready for service. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative repairs across our fleet, including next-generation electric vehicles Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults Completing scheduled servicing and responding to breakdowns and urgent repairs Overhauling and replacing key components including engines, gearboxes, and braking systems Accurately completing job sheets, defect reports, and maintenance records Following all health and safety procedures and workshop standards Working collaboratively within a shift team to maintain an efficient and organized workshop What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a PSV/HGV mechanic or engineer (automotive, heavy vehicle, or rail considered) Level 3 qualification in Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Full UK driving license (PCV/HGV desirable, but not essential) Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends What You’ll Get in Return £25.75 per hour 25 days holiday Ongoing training and development, including upskilling on electric vehicles and new technology Free bus travel for you and your household A supportive and collaborative team environment A role where your work directly impacts passenger safety and service reliability Why Join Arriva?
