Role: IT Buyer
Location: Available on site 2 days per week (in Farnborough)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: £660 per day via Umbrella.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source (including tendering) and procure requirements across IT hardware, software, telecoms, and professional services categories. This includes negotiating favourable terms, volume discounts, reviewing and agreeing T&Cs with Tier-1 IT vendors.
* Reviews contracts for conformance to organisation policy and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds and/or improved SLAs.
* Eliminating unnecessary expenditure through influential demand management and deliver savings through strong negotiations.
* Work with Finance to record and seek endorsement of savings delivered.
* Collaborate with IT, Enterprise Digital Services, Security, Data Protection and Legal teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and compliance with procurement policies, licensing agreements, and data protection regulations.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to IT spend.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group CIO, to understand demands and priorities, as well as presenting procurement strategies for endorsement.
