Position Summary
To implement and maintain the Oceaneering Floating Systems integrity management service to ensure the continued integrity of our client's offshore production facilities. This service is to be in line with Oceaneering and the Client's documentary requirements and legislation where applicable.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Provide technical leadership and authority in Naval Architecture, delegating work where applicable to junior engineers within their technical capabilities. Review and check junior engineer's output.
2. Support clients with Integrity Management, Inspection Management, and Maintenance activities for Floating Systems (hull and topsides structures) in accordance with contractual requirements.
3. Ensure projects adhere to industry codes/standards, classification rules, legislation, accreditation, and company policies.
4. Prepare and maintain Floating Systems integrity and inspection management strategies and risk assessments.
5. Develop and implement short- and long-term plans aligned with client planning processes.
6. Manage development and approval of inspection work packs and scopes, ensuring all parties are fully informed.
7. Review and endorse inspection reports, including third-party NDE reports, confirming inspections are completed as required.
8. Assess reported defects, report anomalies, and advise clients on immediate threats to integrity.
9. Write reports analyzing integrity data and recommending repairs.
10. Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
11. Undertake offshore visits and surveys as needed.
12. Promote innovative methods and technologies for efficiency.
13. Assist in reviewing and maintaining processes and procedures related to floating systems.
14. Contribute to bids and proposals for global operations.
15. Support business development and marketing efforts.
16. Assist in contract management, ensuring technical delivery and cost control.
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or related discipline (e.g., Structural, Mechanical).
Desired
* Master's degree in Naval, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Professional engineer status (e.g., CEng, EUR ING, PE).
* Offshore medical and survival certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
* Understanding of floating systems and hull integrity methods.
* Knowledge of Classification Society Rules.
* Experience with inspection, NDE methods, and surveys.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to build client and contractor relationships across cultures.
