The Role
We are recruiting for a Sub Agent to support the delivery of our multi-disciplinary civil engineering project at Devonport, Plymouth. This is a key role reporting to the Site Agents and working closely with the wider site and commercial teams.
As Sub Agent, you will:
1. Lead the preparation and submission of RAMS and quality documentation.
2. Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and maintain accurate records.
3. Support works including secant and sheet piling, temporary works, earthworks, FRC, and general groundworks.
4. Produce material reconciliations based on design take-offs to monitor trends and inform commercial reporting.
5. Assist the site General Foreman in managing daily labour and plant records, verbal instructions, and allocation sheets.
6. Liaise with Site Agents and QS team to ensure potential costs, savings, and entitlements are properly captured.
7. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Principal Contractor and their engineering team.
8. Produce and issue weekly 4-week lookahead programmes using MS Project and lead internal review meetings prior to Client submission.
9. Engage with MJ Church support services to meet internal procedures and project requirements.
10. Represent the company professionally, upholding our values of collaboration, integrity, and commitment.
Who You Are
You bring strong technical experience across multiple civil engineering disciplines and a proactive, commercially aware mindset. You’re confident working with internal teams and external stakeholders, adaptable to changing site needs, and thrive in a collaborative environment. You’re keen to broaden your knowledge and develop further within a supportive team.
* HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Experience on civil engineering schemes up to £50M.
* Strong understanding of site documentation, quality systems, and material reconciliation.
* Commercial awareness and willingness to develop further.
* MS Project (MPP) and AutoCAD competence.
