Neurodevelopmental Service Clinical Psychologist
We are keen to recruit clinical psychologists to work with us in our East IHC Neurodevelopmental Service for children and young people aged 5-18. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service which is keen to develop and innovate. We welcome applications from those seeking to join at band 7. On commencement, a development plan will be provided to support transition to band 8A once the required competencies have been achieved. Experienced psychologists considered for band 8A are also welcome. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
* Work with clinical and assistant psychologists completing neurodevelopmental assessments and brief interventions as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Contribute to service development, audit and research; develop leadership, supervision and consultation skills.
* Receive regular clinical supervision from a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
* Engage with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme for placements and training; benefit from a supportive network of child psychologists across specialisms.

Essential criteria – Qualifications
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
* Post‑graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), accredited by the British Psychological Society.
* Good honours Degree in Psychology.
* Clinical supervision training for Doctoral Trainees.
* Doctoral level advanced knowledge of clinical psychology theory and practice, psychological therapies, neuropsychological and psychometric assessment and interpretation.
* Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including multivariate data analysis, as practised within clinical psychology.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development as recommended by the BPS and HCPC.
Essential criteria – Experience
* Substantial assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, including significant post‑qualification experience within the designated specialty.
* Demonstration of further specialist training or experience through extensive and demonstrable clinical supervision, or an alternative approval by the Director of Psychology.
* Experience of specialised psychological assessment and treatment of a range of clients across a wide range of care settings.
* Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients’ psychological care, including coordinating care within a multi‑disciplinary care‑planning context.
