Job Description
Programme Manager | Clean Water Infrastructure | Up to £90,000
I am working on a critical hire within a major water programme, supporting large scale investment into clean water, leakage reduction and flood mitigation.
This role is a key leadership position within a growing and high performing team.
The opportunity
This is not a traditional delivery role. You will not be running individual projects day to day. Instead, you will be leading a team of Project Managers and specialists, ensuring that multiple projects across the programme are aligned, progressing as planned and delivered to the required standards.
You will be responsible for driving performance, providing structure and maintaining oversight across the programme, while still being close enough to the detail to challenge, support and guide your team effectively.
You will report into a Senior Programme Manager and play a key role in shaping how the programme is delivered moving forward.
Why this role stands out
This is a genuinely impactful role within a major investment programme focused on improving water infrastructure and environmental outcomes You will have full ownership of a team of 10 to 12 people
You will be stepping into a position that has proven progression, with the previous incumbent promoted internally. You will be joining a business that is scaling and investing heavily in delivery capability.
What they are looking for
* Strong experience within the water sector is essential
* A deep understanding of clean water, leakage, flooding or related infrastructure programmes
* Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
* Someone who is not just strategic but also detail aware and able to challenge delivery
* A structured, methodical approach with strong stakeholder management skills
This is not a role for generalist Project Managers. They are looking for someone with real depth in the water space who can bring credibility, leadership and control to a complex programme environment.
If you are looking for a step into a programme leadership role, or already operating at this level and want to be part of something significant, I would love to speak with you.
