About the Role
The iMap Centre is a small social care company that specialises in the support and education of young adults and children with autism and learning disabilities. Based in and around Cheshire, we are proud of our adults' and children's services and our education provision that consists of two schools. We are looking for a confident, responsible and organised School Chef Assistant to help out during lunch-time hours, mainly based in our brand new, 40-placement SEND school based in the Frodsham area. This role is around 15 hours per week, term-time only.
Job Opportunity
The role will involve aiding our Chef in preparing and delivering lunches, including sandwich preparation and salad and vegetable preparation. The Chef Assistant will be responsible for transporting lunches between our two school sites and ensuring dining areas and cooking/preparation areas are kept clean and tidy. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not essential.
Essential Skills
* Hold a current Food Hygiene certificate, or be willing to complete a course online.
* Be familiar with Safer Food Better Business practice.
* Be able to work to time scales.
* Excellent level of hygiene standards.
* Be confident when lone working.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (ESSENTIAL)
