Are you outgoing, fun, and full of positive energy? In this role, you'll be supporting Claire, an inspiring lady in Swansea who loves to keep active, try new things and explore new places, and living her life to the fullest. Role: Support Worker Location: Swansea Hours: Full and Part-time hours available Salary: £12.74 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile Contract: Permanent Interviews: We are looking to interviewas soon as possibleso would encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity What you'll be doing: Your days will be as varied and lively as Claire's - from joining her at Zumba and gym classes, running together, body boarding in the sea, or heading out for a hike, to baking cakes and playing badminton. You'll support Claire to make everyday choices - from what to wear or what to cook, to planning bigger things like holidays and special days out. You'll be by her side as she follows through on these choices, building her confidence, learning new skills, and embracing the things she loves most. Alongside this, you'll offer practical support - helping her manage money, pay bills, keep her home welcoming and tidy, and stay connected with family and friends. At times, she can experience behaviours that challenge, often when feeling overwhelmed or anxious. You'll be able to respond with patience, empathy, and calm reassurance, helping her feel safe and understood. Physical exercise, running, and spending time outdoors play a big part in helping her manage anxiety, find balance, and bring her joy to each day. Supporting and encouraging in all sorts of things such as; trying new foods, new hobbies, running the Cardiff half marathon, getting a gym membership, gym classes, sea activities and practicing my daily life skills." Claire is looking for someone who's outgoing, enjoys spending time outdoors, and can keep up with her busy, active lifestyle. Being trustworthy and reliable is just as important. No experience is required as full training is provided - what matters most is who you are. We'd love to hear from you if you: • Have patience and empathy • Can support someone with respect and dignity • Have strong communication and teamwork skills • Are able to speak on behalf of Claire and feel confident liaising with her professionals • Have good written skills to record daily events with empathy and meaning • A full UK driving licence is essential - you'll be taking Claire to activities, classes, appointments, and adventures.
