Role Description

We leverage digital, engineering, data analytics, and consultancy expertise to deliver sustainable, predictive asset management solutions, enabling informed decision-making in a changing environment.
Based in the UK, we offer an exciting opportunity for a Principal Asset Management Consultant to join our Infrastructure Asset Management team. You will help implement our UK asset management strategy, lead consultancy projects, and develop value propositions across rail, highways, and aviation markets. You will also support our global asset management consulting efforts within areas like Mobility, Resilience, and Places.
This role involves being a key team member within the Mobility division, reporting to the Head of Highways Asset Management. As part of a newly established team, you will help consolidate our asset management capabilities, primarily focusing on highways but also potentially working in rail, aviation, and ports. There are opportunities for growth, leadership, and career development, including managing junior staff and acting as a technical expert.
Role Accountabilities
1. Oversee asset management projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards, aiming to exceed client expectations.
2. Support the implementation of UK Mobility and Highways asset management strategies, and contribute to global capability development, especially regarding international standards like ISO55000 and risk-based maintenance.
3. Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement to generate positive outcomes.
4. Engage in market development, thought leadership, and identify future business opportunities.
5. Lead and support tenders for asset management projects across business lines.
6. Promote and market the company's services during client interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience developing asset management solutions for transportation sectors, including strategies, policies, lifecycle plans, risk assessments, and decision support tools.
* Experience working with highways, rail, or aviation sectors, either as a client or consultant.
* Knowledge of industry standards like ISO55000 and GFMAM methodology.
* Experience in tender management and bid processes.
* Understanding of risk management techniques such as FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone diagrams.
* Experience developing decision support tools for asset management decisions.
* Working towards Chartered status or membership of a professional institution (e.g., IAM).
