We are seeking a qualified and strategic finance professional to support our client in delivering its financial and service priorities on an interim basis in the Solihull area. This is a temporary role until July 2026.
Working closely with Senior and Corporate Leadership Teams, you will lead financial planning and governance across the full financial cycle – including budget setting, forecasting, and statutory accounts. You will provide high-quality financial advice to Members and senior leaders, represent the Section 151 Officer, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
You will also manage and develop the Service Finance Team, driving performance, continuous improvement, and strong financial management practices.
Essential:

CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant (current member)

Strong strategic financial management experience

Experience leading and developing teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Evidence of CPD

CIPFA qualification

Local authority/public sector experience
