Our client is an established, global asset manager who provides investments solutions across Private Markets and Public Investments.
A new role has arisen in this business for a funds lawyer with a GP-focused practice with demonstrable fundraising experience in the alternative/private arena.
With an established and highly profitable institutional client base, this business has, more recently, launched products targeted at the HNWI market. The successful candidate will work across both areas of this business, on open and closed-ended funds, covering renewable energy, infrastructure and private equity funds.
More specifically, the lawyer will:
* Structure and launch funds in jurisdictions like Luxembourg and the US;
* Draft and amend term sheets, PPMs and institutional fund documents (e.g. side letters and LPAs).
* Be involved with the structuring of bespoke fund vehicles (including Part II UCIs and RAIFs);
* Negotiate distribution agreements with institutional and HNWI clients;
* Take a key role in the implementation of regulatory projects.
This team is open to applications from candidates with a background in private practice or a relevant investment management organisation.
Aside from the content of the role, the most attractive facet of this opportunity is, arguably, the business it supports. There is focus from senior management on this profitable and successful area of the business, and it is in sustained growth mode. This, in turn, will drive the trajectory of the successful individual, so applicants should be ambitious and tenacious, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving organisation.
Our client will remunerate competitively on base and bonus, whilst also offering a healthy and predictable work-life balance, and a hybrid office/home working policy.
