Workshop Technician Location: Bristol (BS30) This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in generators and power solutions, in a Workshop Technician role based in Warmley, Bristol (BS30). The position involves supporting the engineering and rental teams with the preparation, testing, and repair of large generator sets. Salary & Benefits: £26,500 - £28,000 per annum Overtime Rates: (Mon-Fri after 17:00 1.5x, Saturdays 1.5x, Sundays & Bank Holidays 2x) Monday–Friday: 08:00–17:00 Full time & Permanent role 40 Hours per week Annual bonus scheme 23 days holiday bank holidays (increasing with service) Duties/Responsibilities: Support the servicing, maintenance, and general upkeep of large containerised generators (500 KVA and above) within the rental fleet, ensuring adherence to manufacturer service schedules Assist with general yard operations, including loading and unloading equipment Operate a forklift in the yard when required, following completion of appropriate training Record generator operating hours and fuel levels for units returned by customers or company transport when requested Support service and repair activities on equipment both on-site and off-site as required Drive company vehicles to collect and deliver parts and essential equipment when needed Participate in the engineers’ on-call rota (currently 1 week in 8), subject to successful training Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean and organised Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures Follow ISO-aligned quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Experience & Skills required: Full UK Driving Licence Forklift Truck Licence Previous experience of working in a workshop environment Holder of CSCS Card Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Have a flexible approach to work as the needs of the business How to Apply Please click apply to send your CV, or if you have any questions contact Josh at Pertemps Bristol
