Location: Waun Wen Primary School, Lion Street, Waun Wen, Swansea, SA1 2BZ.
Job title: Senior Childcare Worker (Flying Start)
Contract type: Full‑time, 35 hours per week, commencing as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate an experienced team of childcare staff.
* Work with children under three and with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
* Plan and implement child‑led learning pedagogy.
* Prepare reports, attend meetings and manage caseloads.
* Deliver high‑quality childcare within the Flying Start framework.
Qualifications and Experience
* Years of experience working with children under three in a childcare setting.
* Excellent knowledge of child development.
* Experience in a Flying Start setting, ideally.
* Experience leading a team of childcare staff.
* Experience with children with ALN, report writing, attending meetings and managing caseloads.
* Desire to work toward CCLD Level 5 (Advanced Practice) unless already achieved.
* Strong commitment, adaptability and motivation skills.
