Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional care to young people aged 13-18 with complex mental health needs.
* Assist with organising activities, create a safe and supportive environment, and offer emotional support.
* Transport young people to homes, placements, activities or medical appointments when required.
* Make accurate records of patient observations and enter data into the RiO patient records computer system.
* Report any complaints from young people, families or carers to the trained staff on duty.
* Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as requested by the nurse in charge.
* Attend and complete the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PSA) 5-day course before commencing work.
Shift Patterns
* Early – 07:00 to 15:00
* Late – 12:00 to 20:00
* Twilight – 16:00 to 00:00
* Nights (enhanced pay) – 19:30 to 07:30
* Long days – 07:00 to 20:00
Qualifications
* Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and compassion.
* Must hold a valid right to work in the UK.
* Must successfully complete the PSA course.
Employment Terms
Full‑time role; part‑time applicants welcome (minimum 22.5 hours per week). Flexible shifts with weekends and nights at enhanced pay. Interview assessment day: 20 March.
