Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that from 1 April 2023, roles requiring PVG membership will require candidates to cover the cost. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above, such as teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour).
The Council will initially pay for the PVG membership (£18 for existing members or £59 for non-members), and this cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Job purpose/about the role
The role involves delivering quality education to assigned pupils and contributing to the professional and corporate life of the school, in relation to pupils, staff, and external bodies within the SNCT agreements.
Minimum requirements for the post holder:
* Appropriate teaching qualification
* Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the relevant subject/sector or eligibility for registration
* PVG scheme membership – Working with Children
