Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team working on complex heavy industry projects at their Stockton-on-Tees HQ.
You will be involved in designing piping systems, tanks, pressure vessels and skid-mounted equipment for challenging environments.
What you will be doing as Mechanical Design Engineer:
Produce detailed design documentation including P&IDs, schematics, Bills of Materials and calculations
Design and develop piping layouts, valves, pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and skid-mounted systems
Create and contribute to 3D models using advanced CAD tools to deliver robust and cost-effective solutions
Act as the technical lead for mechanical design aspects of projects ensuring compliance with standards and successful delivery
Participate in Design and Safety Reviews, Risk Assessments and ensure all statutory obligations are met
Provide technical support during manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning phases
What we are looking for in a Mechanical Design Engineer:
Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
Strong experience in mechanical design for piping systems, tanks, vessels and skids
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD packages (Inventor, CADWorx or Siemens NX desirable)
Good understanding of P&IDs, Piping Systems and heavy and/or process industry turnkey projects
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and design standards
Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
