In response to significant client demand and a strong infrastructure opportunity pipeline, the AECOM programme management advisory and delivery teams are seeking to grow across all grades. We are currently looking to hire a suitably experienced and capable Senior Programme Manager to work independently or with a Director to successfully shape, develop, initiate and deliver client investment and business change programmes. Joining our newly established and dedicated regional team in the South West of England, as a Senior Programme Manager you will be delivering transformative infrastructure and engineering projects. We combine international best practice with local expertise to drive sustainable growth and community impact. You will support programme advisory and delivery commissions across the whole programme lifecycle including programme definition, delivery model and organisational design, programme readiness, maturity assessments, programme management and PMO design and implementation. Within the role of Senior Programme Manager, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile programmes for regional clients in sectors such as water, transport, energy, and infrastructure. You’ll shape strategy, build local relationships, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation as we expand our South-West & Wales capability. Here's what you'll do: Develop and deliver regional programmes aligned with sector and client priorities Lead, mentor, and help grow a newly established programme management function and diverse team, promoting technical and professional development Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement within this new regional function/team. Support the team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets; Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups; Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations; Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions; Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements; Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful delivery; Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the team; Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process; Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.
