We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sevenoaks, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early years specialist who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey and helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework. You will support children’s development across all prime and specific areas of learning, including communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, early literacy, and numeracy. You will work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, play-based EYFS lessons Observe, assess, and track children’s progress across all areas of learning Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and communication development Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all children, including SEN Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues and support staff Maintain accurate assessment records and learning journals Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have experience teaching in EYFS or Reception Be caring, patient, and child-centred in approach Be creative, organised, and reflective in practice Have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework Be an effective communicator and team player Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children The school is located in Sevenoaks, with good transport links and a welcoming school community.
