We are looking for a Planning Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Thurrock.
What you'll do:
1. Develop the planning approach for a project taking into account both our customers and Skanska’s planning requirements. This approach should focus on how the planning team deliver a positive impact for the project.
2. Lead and develop the project planning team.
3. Establish the project level collaborative planning approach to drive engagement of the whole project team with the programme. This will include the presentation of programme information in numerous ways – time chainage, 4D, short term planning, phasing diagrams, etc.
4. Interrogate the programme and identify areas for improvements, risk reduction and potential issues across the whole project. Use this detailed understanding of the programme to deliver strategic planning decisions.

What you'll bring to the role:
6. Significant planning experience with a Tier 1 infrastructure contractor. Experience of various methods of planning and planning software
7. Understanding of the construction market, all stages of a project, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements
8. Technical knowledge of construction techniques, principles and best practices probably developed through both formal education (degree / HNC/HNC in Civil Engineering / Construction) and practical
9. experience (site management with an infrastructure contractor)
10. Understanding of the impacts of various forms of contract on time and how to manage that within the programme
11. Highways experience
12. Driving licence
