Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the strategic management of our clients school’s estate, facilities contracts, and support services. Reporting to the Finance and Resources Manager and leading a small team, you will ensure our client’s school estate is safe, compliant, efficient, and supportive of teaching, learning, and student well-being.
Full-time, 35 hours per week, all year round
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure full compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements, including fire safety, asbestos management, and workplace regulations.
2. Oversee facilities contracts, procurement, and budgets, ensuring value for money and adherence to financial regulations.
3. Lead the delivery of the Asset Management Plan, capital works, and improvement projects.
4. Drive sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives, monitoring usage and achieving carbon reduction targets.
5. Supervise planned preventative maintenance and risk management processes.
6. Provide strategic oversight of catering services, ensuring compliance with health, nutrition, and safety standards.
7. Develop and monitor KPIs for facilities, reporting regularly to governors and senior leadership.
