Job Title: Picking Line Operative Location: Green Ore, Wells BA5 Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30 Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour About the Client Our client is a leading waste management and recycling company, operating a state-of-the-art Recycling & Treatment Centre. They specialise in accepting, sorting, recycling and treating waste streams such as green waste, wood, metal, soils, stone and general mixed waste. Their commitment to sustainability ensures waste is managed responsibly, producing recycled aggregates and BSI PAS 100-grade compost used across construction and landscaping industries. As a Picking Line Operative, you’ll be part of a hardworking, dedicated team ensuring recyclable materials are sorted efficiently and correctly for further processing. Role & Responsibilities • Working on the picking line to identify and remove unsuitable materials from incoming waste streams • Sorting materials by type - metal, wood, soil, stone, general waste, etc. • Maintaining an efficient and continuous workflow along the line • Following all site health & safety and environmental procedures • Reporting any defects, hazards or irregularities to your supervisor • Supporting the team with general site housekeeping and waste handling What We’re Looking For • Reliability and a strong work ethic • Comfortable working in an industrial, waste or recycling environment • Good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting • Physically fit - standing and moving for long periods • Willing to follow safety rules and wear PPE at all times • Previous recycling or waste-sorting experience preferred but not essential What’s In It For You • Competitive pay at £12.50 per hour • Steady Monday–Friday work - no weekends! • Full training provided • Join a company dedicated to sustainability and recycling • Supportive team environment with opportunities for progression Apply Today!
