Job Summary

Passionate Sous Chef or experienced CDP looking to step up to sous level (Part time or full time)

We are looking for an experienced Chef to support our kitchen team.

Who are we?

We are a gastro pub, our food is well known as Modern British seasonally changing menu with fresh fish and local meats. We are passionate about using and sourcing the best local, fresh ingredients that bring the wonderful produce from the local fishing boats and local marsh/farms to our customers tables throughout the year. We encourage creativity and experience being brought into our business and team to be translated into fresh exciting dishes. We welcome chefs with a passion, enthusiasm and a desire to create with flair and be the best we can be for our customers, leading by example and showing strength through a happy team valuing and bringing forward each member of the team's best strengths.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will work as a key part of our kitchen team. The ideal candidate(s) will bring passion, flexibility, flair and experience of a busy gastro/pub or hotel/restaurant type environment and be used to working, and supporting the Head Chef and team. With ambition and passion to support the business and drive the kitchen forward. The role would also suit an experienced CDP looking to step up to a Sous Chef role, support will be offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideally Level 2/3 NVQ or equivalent and expected standards, knowledge and desire to retain and achieve excellent standards in food hygiene at all times.

Used to working with fresh ingredients to create wonderfully tasting and beautifully presented plates from the freshest local ingredients.

Enjoying creating beautiful food in both quieter times and very busy shifts.

Because of our location, own transport will be required.

Pay/Salary - hourly paid and *based on level of experience.
