The Role
Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will take ownership of cost accounting and inventory processes, while also supporting broader month-end and project accounting activities. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading cost accounting processes, including standard costing, BOM and routing validation, and inventory reconciliation
* Supporting month-end close, journal entries, and statutory reporting under US GAAP and FRS 102
* Managing intercompany transactions, fixed assets, VAT returns, and audit support
* Contributing to project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis
* Driving process improvements and supporting system optimisation initiatives
* Collaborating with international teams across finance and operations

The Ideal CandidateMandatory
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
* Minimum 4 years’ progressive accounting experience
* Strong cost accounting and inventory management knowledge
* Experience with US GAAP and/or FRS 102
* Proficient in Excel and financial systems (NetSuite or similar ERP)
* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
Beneficial
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Prior audit experience
* Exposure to international operations and intercompany accounting
* Familiarity with project accounting and revenue recognition
