Job Description
The Business Category Leader (BCL), responsible for the Mother and Child Care (MCC) and Women’s Health (WH) portfolios, is tasked with leading a critical business segment to establish the brand as the #1 Baby Care brand worldwide. The BCL is end-to-end accountable for the strategic and commercial success of the category throughout its lifecycle. As a vital member of the MCC & WH Leadership team, they are responsible for executing global enablers to achieve significant results aligned with organizational goals.
This leader will manage a team of approximately 16 people and collaborate with hundreds of cross-functional team members, driving initiatives to improve Brand Strength, Household Penetration, Consumer Lifetime Value, Market Share, Financial KPIs, ESG, and People KPIs. They will inspire innovation in products, services, and business models by understanding evolving consumer needs in parenting.
Your Role
1. Execute mid-term strategies supporting MCC+WH goals, adjusting approaches to maximize impact.
2. Develop and present comprehensive Strategic Plans, Annual Operating Plans, and Innovation Business Cases aligned with market dynamics and organizational objectives.
3. Drive vision and strategic alignment across all levels, overseeing product management, execution, and continuous improvement.
4. Leverage research, market trends, and competitor insights to identify growth opportunities.
5. Ensure brand positioning and experience are consistent and leverage partnerships with Communications and Design.
6. Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment, coordinating across departments for effective outcomes.
7. Optimize financial performance through pricing, cost management, and budget adherence.
8. Maintain product quality standards and lifecycle management.
9. Lead globally scaled initiatives for efficient portfolio management and sustainable growth.
10. Develop POVs for key customer JBPs and lead commercialization strategies.
11. Manage talent, succession planning, and employee engagement, aligning with organizational goals.
12. Collaborate with MCC & WH, Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Centers of Excellence to deliver value.
13. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to secure support and alignment.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
* 15+ years of experience in business leadership, with at least 10 years in Brand Marketing within FMCG.
* Understanding of the retail and consumer landscape with application of insights for new opportunities.
* Proven leadership in building high-performing teams and talent development.
* Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
* Experience in driving strategic initiatives across complex organizations.
* Knowledge of digital media, activation trends, and various business models (B2C, B2B, DTC, B2B2C).
