A leading Engineering & Manufacturing company in Bristol is seeking an experienced Production Planner on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities Work Order & Build Management Raise work orders to support the production schedule. Create build files and associated documentation. Arrange kitting and ensure all materials required for build are available. Manage and update work order part lists throughout build and test. Close work orders to inventory and pass to the next stage. Monitor, identify and manage build shortages. Build / Test Support Monitor and action deviation permits. Work with Build Team Leaders and Lead Technicians to resolve material supply issues. Add additional material requirements to work orders only when justified. Attend pre-shipment meetings when required. Ensure shortages are identified and resolved before moving product to Finished Goods. Maintain accurate updates within the company business system (SID). Process electronic stores requisitions. ECO / Change Management Implement design or specification changes to work orders post-kitting. Action BOM updates through the ECO process. Identify WIP requiring rework due to engineering changes and coordinate internal or external rework. Communicate foreseeable plan changes to the Master Scheduler.
