This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their technical skills, gain broader client exposure and develop within a supportive, modern practice environment.The OpportunityAs an Accounts Semi Senior, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounts, VAT and tax work for a varied portfolio of clients. You’ll work closely with senior team members, build strong client relationships and develop your technical knowledge with real responsibility from day one.Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare year‑end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns from client records
2. Produce accurate working paper files and ensurepliance with current accounting standards
3. Work collaboratively with senior staff to meet deadlines, budgets and client expectations
4. Support in client meetings when required and provide guidance to junior team members
5. Review WIP and debtors as part of managing profitability
6. Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge, including accounting standards and tax requirements
7. Highlight issues proactively and suggest practical solutions during the preparation process
About You
8. Part‑qualified ACCA (or equivalent)
9. At least 2 years’ experience preparing accounts and VAT returns within a UK accountancy practice
10. Working knowledge of software such as Xero, VT, CCH or similar
11. Strong technical understanding of current accounting standards
12. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
13. Confidentmunicator who can build strong client relationships
14. Self‑motivated, organised and able to work independently within a team environment
15. Professional, proactive andmitted to ongoing development
