We are seeking an experienced HR professional (you could be an HR BP, HR Director, or Chief People Officer) to help lead our animal welfare charity through a strategic review and the modernisation and professionalisation of our operations.

What are we looking for?
Senior HR Expertise We are seeking a senior HR leader (HR Director or senior HRBP) who is CIPD Level 7 (Chartered Member/Fellow) or possesses equivalent practical experience in senior leadership roles.
Organisational Design & Change Management Experience in managing significant organisational development and change management is essential. You will be the primary board expert on our move towards a systems-led management model, ensuring operational processes are robust, scalable, and independent of any single point of failure.
Employment Law & Compliance You should have a deep understanding of employment law to guide the formalisation of contracts and policies, ensuring that the Sanctuary remains compliant and protected from liability.

Provide expert governance and strategic oversight for our organisational development, ensuring our structure is resilient and ready for future legislative and regulatory shifts.
Support and challenge the management team to enable the Sanctuary to thrive.
Guide the Board through the formalisation of employment contracts and the creation of a comprehensive Policy Catalogue (Absence, Disciplinary, JML).
Resolve legacy documentation errors and ensure full legal compliance.
Act as a strategic partner on organisational development, culture and staff engagement, helping the Sanctuary implement best-practice HR frameworks that promote transparency and professional standards while mitigating legal risks.
