Imagine being a key player in our new Blades & Vanes (BV) procurement team in Warwick, where your expertise will directly support the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines business unit. In this role, you will ensure the timely and efficient procurement of materials, focusing on tactical procurement, supplier relationship management, and inventory control. You will analyze production schedules to determine material requirements, create and manage purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers to align deliveries with production timelines. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining supplier performance and optimizing inventory, making a significant impact on our operational success.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Analyze production schedules and engineering specifications to determine material requirements, ensuring alignment with production needs.
2. Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for raw materials and components using ERP systems like SAP.
3. Serve as the primary operational contact for suppliers, resolving delivery, quality, and invoicing issues to maintain smooth operations.
4. Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, collaborating with strategic sourcing teams to support supplier selection and contract administration.
5. Manage inventory levels for assigned materials, utilizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to optimize material flow and minimize costs.
What You Bring
6. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
7. 2-5 years of experience in procurement, buying, or materials planning, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
8. Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and demonstrated experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently, ensuring effective decision-making and problem-solving.
10. Certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus.
