Background
This opportunity has arisen as we prepare to say goodbye to our much-loved colleague, Kristof Dos Remedios. While we’re truly sad to see him go, we’re excited for him as he begins the next chapter of his career and life.
Since joining Thornhill Dental, Kristof has embodied everything we stand for: friendliness, professionalism, kindness, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. He has made a lasting impact on both our team and the patients who have trusted him, and he will be deeply missed.
Over his five years here, he has built a long-established and loyal list of patients who value his skill, kindness, and dedication. In 2022, following the retirement from clinical dentistry of our Practice Principal, Graeme, Kristof also took on his patient list - a responsibility he has carried with great care and professionalism.
True to his character, Kristof’s commitment to his patients continues after he leaves Thornhill Dental and is eager to help us find the right person to step into his role. We think that speaks volumes about him and about the positive, supportive culture we’re so proud of here at Thornhill Dental.

“It’s not been an easy decision to leave Thornhill Dental. After much thought, I’ve chosen to relocate closer to my family in Staffordshire. Over the past five years, I’ve loved every minute here. I’ve grown so much as a dentist, cared for wonderful patients and families, and felt privileged to play a part in their lives. Alongside that, I’ve had the constant encouragement of an amazing team who have always supported my aspirations for further training.”

The reception staff keep everything running seamlessly, the nurses are highly skilled and brilliant with patients, and our hygiene and therapy support is second to none. Everyone pulls together to make each day smooth and efficient, and because we carry out so much in-house – including implants – teamwork really is at the heart of what we do. Beyond the surgery, the team is just as fantastic, getting involved in the community. One of my fondest memories has to be the 24-hour walk for Millington’s Magical Barn… while dressed as a rabbit!”

Kristof
Roles
As Kristof now relocates, we’re looking to welcome not just one but two new associates into Team TD. This will allow us to share out his well-cared-for patient base and ensure continuity of the highest standard of care. It’s a fantastic opportunity to take on an established list within a supportive and forward-thinking practice, while also enjoying the flexibility and balance that comes with joining a larger team.
Private Associate
* 3.5 days per week
* Must include Tuesday afternoon and evening, plus alternate Saturday mornings when the practice is open. Other days are negotiable
* 45–50% split (dependant on gross income)
* 190 stable Practice Plan members, generating a guaranteed income of around £1,200 per month
* Extremely high earning potential – full details available on application
* Must have a minimum 5 years experience providing private dental care
* Particularly keen to hear from candidates with an additional special interest (aesthetic dentistry, endodontics, or implants)
NHS Associate
* 2 days per week (ideally Thursday and Friday)
* Must have a minimum 2-3 years experience providing NHS dental care
* 3,600 UDA per year at £14 per UDA
* Stable, established patient list
* Strong practice efficiency supported by experienced dental therapists

About
Thornhill Dental is a family-run practice, founded in 1987 by Graeme and Jenny Tattersfield. From one surgery, we’ve grown over 38 years into a nine-room clinic, offering a wide range of services.
Our management team includes James and Aimee Tattersfield, Karen Douglas, Katie Wallwork, and Petra Wingrove. They ensure smooth running, high-quality care, and a supportive environment.
Graeme retired from clinical dentistry in June 2022 but continues as Clinical Lead. Thornhill Dental remains privately owned by the Tattersfield family, combining the warmth of an independent with the professionalism of a modern organisation.

Team TD Together
At Thornhill Dental, our commitment goes beyond dental care - we care about the well-being of our patients, our team, and our community. Through our Team TD Together initiative, we actively support local charities, community projects, and causes close to our hearts.
In December 2024, we hosted our 4th Tea & Talk event, welcoming patients, families, and the wider community for tea, mince pies, and friendly conversation. That same month, our Christmas Collection helped local children and families in need, with generous donations from our patients, friends, and team.
Every employed team member receives a fully paid day each year to volunteer for a charity or community project of their choice. Recently, our team supported Rainbow Baby Bank and Ravensthorpe Community Centre, making a tangible difference locally.
We’re also proud to celebrate our international impact. In June 2025, our dentist Leena travelled to Egypt, providing urgent dental care to children and adults with limited access to treatment. Her incredible work overseas shows how far Team TD’s care can reach, creating smiles across the world.
Later this year, our Dental Therapist Holly will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Prostate Cancer UK, taking on an extraordinary challenge to raise awareness and funds for a vital cause.
Through initiatives like these, Team TD strives to create smiles not just on faces, but in hearts too - locally, nationally, and internationally.
