Job Summary
You will become an integral part of a friendly and collaborative team of like‑minded people, assisting the Sales Department in the preparation of our bids and then contractual requirements for Flare Gas Recovery systems (and other packages) for our international Oil and Gas clients. You will assist with the development of Packaged Ejectors Systems for our clients.
Responsibilities
* Define Project Scope and Objectives – Work alongside our Sales and Process team to establish clear goals and design requirements for a particular project.
* Gather Basic Design Data – We need basic design data, process, and performance parameters, which may come from client documentation, meetings, or our Sales team.
* Process flow diagrams (PFDs) – Produce or guide the CAD team to produce flowcharts that describe the major processes and equipment.
* Develop the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) – Identify control systems, valves, and piping configurations, collaborating with the Process and Sales Teams, and prepare an equipment list.
* Material & Energy Balances – Understand input‑output relationships and the efficiency of the process; this is a responsibility of the Process team but knowledge benefits the role.
* Design Equipment Specifications – Define mechanical and operational details for major equipment, extract correct requirements for a particular piece of equipment, prepare an enquiry to suppliers, and scrutinise quotations to ensure compliance with project standards.
* Provide feedback to various departments – Include standards that must be met, operational best practices, and proactively take lessons learned forward to new projects.
* Prepare Documentation & Review – Assemble the pack of completed information to hand over to the Project Managers when the project moves from a bid to a contract.
Basic Qualifications
* Degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng).
* Previous involvement in supporting packaged systems design.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
* At least three years of relevant industry experience.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in high‑pressure situations.
* Commercial awareness and business acumen.
* Right to Work in the UK.
