This position offers the opportunity to work with AOCS/GNC on satellite projects in a stable UK team of 25. Key projects include ARIEL, Vigil, Aeolus‑2, FORUM, and more for ESA and the UK MOD. You will engage in design, implementation, verification, validation, documentation, software prototyping, and stakeholder collaboration for missions from Phase 0 to E.
Security clearance: BPSS check (including a criminal record check). Travel: infrequent, up to two times a year for customer meetings/conferences/training. Location: Stevenage (60 % office based). Type: Full‑time; suitable for experienced analysts, early careers, or STEM returners.

Responsibilities
* Work on projects such as ARIEL, Vigil, Aeolus‑2, FORUM, and more for ESA and the UK MOD.
* Accomplish AOCS/GNC design, implementation, verification, and validation activities for mission phases 0 to E.
* Produce relevant documentation, including design justifications, software requirements for AOCS/GNC algorithms, and performance analysis documentation.
* Develop prototype-level software (simulation, real‑time simulator) using C, MATLAB, Python.
* Support reviews and workshops with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Professional or early career experience with GNC/AOCS for space applications.
* Motivated to learn more about GNC/AOCS through self‑directed learning, shadowing, and leveraging team expertise.
* Proficiency in one of: Matlab (preferred), C, C++, or Python.
* Proficiency in one of the modeling and simulation tools: Simulink (preferred), Altair Activate, OpenModelica, Scilab/Xcos, Collimator, or Pictorus, and willingness to use Simulink daily.
* Ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to a respectful, collaborative team environment.
