We are seeking a HVAC Engineer to support detailed design development, installation and commissioning of HVAC systems within nuclear and associated facilities. The role requires compliance with stringent safety and regulatory standards, oversight of installation and commissioning activities, and optimisation of performance through diagnostics and maintenance. Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is the preparation of technical documentation and regulatory submissions. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in nuclear safety protocols, HVAC engineering principles and lifecycle asset management.

* Produce design documentation including P&IDs, design reports and HVAC equipment/system definition documents.

* Develop and manage structured Requirements, Evidence, Definition and Verification data.
* Define and maintain functional interfaces between HVAC systems and other plant systems.

Essential Requirements

* At least 2 years of experience in HVAC system, layout or component design.
* Evidence of effective technical delivery in nuclear new build or generation sectors.
* Academic qualification in a relevant science or engineering discipline (minimum Higher National Diploma).
* Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
* Clear and organised written and verbal communication.
* Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Desirable Requirements

* Professionalism in supporting new business and enhancing client relationships.
* Familiarity with reactor plant operating philosophy, standard procedures and safety‑critical workflows.

* Project management experience.
* Experience working in a consultancy environment.
* Progress towards chartership with a professional institution (e.g. IMechE, CIBSE).

* Competitive salary with yearly reviews.
* 25 days holiday, with an option to buy 5 days.
* Welcoming work culture and supportive environment.
* Flexible working arrangements.
* Enhanced parental benefits.
