We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join us on a permanent basis working Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am-3pm although we are pleased to accept applications from candidates seeking a part-time opportunity.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations and General Manager you will act as the central point of contact between suppliers, carriers, and customers, optimizing routes and reducing costs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including tracking shipments, coordinating transportation, and managing inventory to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Key responsibilities:
* Organise Import Collections: CIs, Clearance instructions, Import acceptance for VAT & Duty with relevant documentation.
* Match up and file proof of export paperwork.
* Organise quotes from freight forwarders.
* Liaise and organise all imports and exports shipments with FF.
* Provide packing list and shipping invoices to warehouse.
* Organise all certificates (chamber of commerce, 3rd party Conformity) and proof of shipment and delivery including (CMR).
* C79 & CDS forms for HMRC.
* Ex1s for Intertek shipments.
* Rulewave direct shipments unable to be stored.
* Monitor and report on compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements .
* Maintain and retain documented information to support the operation of Department processes.
* Assist audit team with identifying and resolving risks issues.
* Adhere to all company Quality & Safety procedures.
* Log all discrepancies on the Communication Register.
* Communicate with the Quality Manager regarding the Communication Register.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in a logistics-based role.
* Reliable, hardworking with great attention to detail.
* Adaptable to changing needs and situations.
* Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritse work accordingly.
* Knowledge of importing and exporting processes and documentation.
* Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office (specifically Excel).
* Problem solving skills
* Excellent numeracy and communication skills
