Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our small family business. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our clients sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grounds maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Perform Ground maintenance tasks including strimming, mowing & Hedge cutting to ensure clients grounds are kept to the highest of standard
* Operate machinery such as zero turn mowers, walk behind mowers, stand on mowers and pedestrian mowers as well as hedge cutters
* Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair
* Carry out general maintenance tasks such as cleaning & checking machinery along with keeping the vans tidy and presentable at all times
* Collaborate with team members to make sure the jobs is done to the highest of standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in ground maintenance is non negotiable
* DRIVERS LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL
* Strong knowledge of most ground maintenance equipment & the ability/confidence to operate them
* Ability to work as part if a team & as well as occasionally by themselves
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
* Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions including heavy rain, sunny days and cold winter days `
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintenance tasks along with being able to follow job specs agreed with clients
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
