South Gloucestershire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Locality (Long Term Social Care) team. This position bridges the gap between our social worker and senior social worker grades, offering an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development.
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload, delivering high-quality social work services, and making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families within the community. This role requires a thorough understanding of social work practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a full caseload, providing comprehensive social work support to individuals and families.
2. Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to meet the needs of service users.
3. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure holistic care.
4. Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
5. Participate in case reviews, supervision sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
Requirements:
6. Essential: Driving Licence, vehicle, and insurance for business use.
7. Qualification: Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
8. Experience: Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified since 2012.
9. Strong understanding of legislation, policy, and practice in social work.
10. Excellent communication, assessment, and planning skills.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
