There is also the opportunity to learn lots of clinical skills and specialise in certain areas of maternity care.
You must be able to work nights, days and weekends and have a good attendance record.
Due to the high number of applicants, please do not contact the maternity unit for further information about the post unless you are shortlisted for an interview.

Applicants should be aware of the requirement to independently obtain ongoing right to work in the UK beyond the expiry of any temporary or time-limited permissions. Evidence of this will need to be shared with the HR Team to ensure our records remain up to date.
The main duties are varied and involve working closely with the midwifery team in the maternity unit. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of tasks supporting the maternity service, including clinical skills, personal care for women, and advice about baby care and feeding.
There are opportunities to work in the community and to learn more specialist skills once you have completed your induction.
