Local Authority Disrepair Surveyor, Bristol. Pay rate to £231 - £298 per day. Contract role, Local Authority Housing.
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor in Bristol. You will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority Housing setting.
Responsibilities
* The role of the Disrepair Surveyor within BCC involves managing complaints received as a legal claim (Housing Condition Claim) in partnership with BCC legal services. Ensure all legal claims within Repairs and Maintenance are successfully investigated and completed with minimal litigation, addressing tenants' expectations regarding property conditions.
* Responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections, coordinating and overseeing necessary repairs including monitoring the work of the trade teams and contractors, from start to completion, ensuring delivery of high quality work, ensuring clear communication with tenants, providing them with a detailed report to each case, achieving high customer satisfaction within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service.
* Champion the customer's experience to improve customer satisfaction, whilst managing expectations. To help manage claims brought against the council, find solutions within BCC’s ICP (Internal Complaints Procedure) and where required, legal framework, to come to a satisfying outcome with and for the tenant.
* The surveyors will be required to work on site most days, attending tenants homes, etc.
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role within a Local Authority Housing setting.
* Ability to conduct on-site inspections, coordinate repairs, and manage contractors to deliver quality work.
* Comfort with working within legal frameworks and internal complaint processes.
