Fleet Underwriter - Birmingham.
What you’ll be doing.
As a Fleet Commercial Underwriter working in our Birmingham Branch, you’ll help drive and transform how we partner with our broker portfolios through responsive, flexible, and collaborative relationships. With a strong balance of technical and trading capability, you’ll be empowered to make decisions, supported by data, insight, and decision support tools on mobile technology to succeed.

Our client works smart, empowering their people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and their customers. You'll work at least 60% of your week away from home, at the Birmingham office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

• Experience of working in a Fleet underwriting environment, whether with an insurer or a broker, is preferred.
• Technical underwriting expertise.
• Strong trading capability, commercial awareness, and expert negotiation skills.
• Ability to build excellent broker relationships and a sound understanding of the current commercial insurance market.
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Developed analytical skills with proven experience of account monitoring and action planning.
• Ability to champion the change agenda, utilising your resilience skills to identify continuous improvement and drive change through to resolution.
