This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy, playinga pivotal role in securing exceptional educational provision for our mostvulnerable children. The successful applicant will be a highlyprofessional, collaborative and motivational colleague who will continue toembed the positive culture of SEND. They will have also have examples of theimpact of their work in securing improved outcomes for vulnerable children andyoung people. The ideal applicant will have: Havehigh expectations of themselves, the people they work with and the childrenthey teach. Becommitted to driving forward pupil progress and achievement, particularly inrelation to disadvantaged pupils and pupils with a special educational needand/or disability (SEND). A commitment to undertake the NPQ SENCoqualification if they do not already have the NASENCo qualification. Be aneffective and reflective leader and classroom practitioner who is willing tolearn and develop whilst sharing expertise to develop others. Beavailable to deliver half a day of high-quality teaching per week (pro rata fora full-time position). Demonstratehighly effective behaviour for learning techniques. Have astrong focus on standards in order to raise achievements. Bewell organised and able to work well both as part of a team and independently. Be cheerful with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
