Electrical Compliance & Technical Manager (NICEIC QS)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
Term: Permanent, full time. Office and site based
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Manager / NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor to lead compliance, raise technical standards and support a growing team of engineers across commercial and industrial projects.
This is a varied role combining office-based compliance (2–3 days per week) with hands-on site leadership, audits and mentoring.
The Role
You will act as the technical lead and first point of contact for electrical compliance matters, ensuring high standards of inspection, testing and certification across the business.
You will divide your time between:
Office-based QS duties, reviewing certification and providing technical support
Leading larger installations and testing projects on site
Auditing engineers and apprentices in line with NICEIC guidelines
Supporting surveys, scheduling and planning for major works Key Responsibilities
Act as the Qualifying Supervisor for NICEIC compliance
Review EIC, EICR and Minor Works certification
Generate remedial quotations from EICR reports
Conduct regular site audits and complete audit documentation
Lead toolbox talks and provide ongoing technical training
Support engineers with technical queries and parts specification
Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and within SLA
Audit PAT testing, thermographic testing, load monitoring and emergency lighting reports
Assist with RAMS, surveys and project planning
Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure qualifications remain current
Contribute ideas to improve engineering standards and service delivery About You
Recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
ECS Approved Electrician Card
Minimum 5 years’ commercial/industrial electrical experience
Strong background in inspection, testing and certification (single and three phase)
PAT testing experience
Knowledge of current regulations and safety standards
Confident reviewing documentation and maintaining compliance systems
IT literate and organised
