Hours: Part-time, 2 Days per Week (8:30am–3:30pm)
Role Overview
Milk Education is seeking a Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive, two-form entry primary school in the L23 area of Liverpool. This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners and is available to start immediately.
You will take responsibility for a Year 5 class across two days per week, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and readiness for upper KS2.
Classroom & School Support
1. Two-form entry primary school within the local community
2. Experienced Classroom Teaching Assistant working alongside you
3. Additional SEN Teaching Assistant support where required
4. Supportive KS2 phase leader and senior leadership team
5. ECTs will receive guidance, mentoring, and ongoing support
Key Responsibilities
6. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
7. Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement
8. Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
9. Differentiate learning to support pupils with SEN and additional needs
10. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress using school systems
11. Prepare pupils for upper KS2 expectations
12. Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting
13. Work collaboratively with colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
14. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS (ECTs welcome)
15. Experience or strong interest in teaching KS2 / Year 5
16. Secure subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum
17. Positive and confident classroom management skills
18. A proactive, reflective, and approachable teaching style
19. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
