Role Overview
An experienced Project Manager with proven structural steel / steel structures / structural engineering experience, is required to join a continually growing, reputable structural company who work on a multitude of projects, including: structural buildings & cladding, rail, construction, rail, MOD, utilities and nuclear.
The Project Manager will manage multiple complex projects to completion, leading projects through every stage of the project life cycle, from planning to delivery. As a Project Manager, you’ll be a key member of the team, responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong rapport
with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time
management skills and strong attention to detail.
Salary £35,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience
Office based - Monday to Friday
Commutable From: Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Lichfield
Project Manager Candidate Requirements
1. Academic qualification in Project Management would be ideal, but isn’t essential
2. Proven experience across either structural steel, steel structures or structural engineering
3. Demonstrated expertise in project management through all phases of a project life cycle
4. Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Advanced knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies and commitment to improving internal practices
Project Manager Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
8. Involved in project planning sessions to set project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project
9. Select and manage a team from among internal and external sub-contractors
10. Monitor the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time
11. Use an appropriate tracking tool to coordinate different elements of the project
12. Follow standard processes as defined by the Association for Project Management (APM) or Project Management Institute (PMI)
13. Manage relevant budgets ensure compliance with processes such as RFP generation and PO generation
