We are seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join an amazing secondary school in Peterborough. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position, offering the opportunity to teach PE up to GCSE level in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons to students up to GCSE level.
* Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Promote health, fitness, and teamwork, fostering a love for physical activity.
* Support and motivate students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
* Ensure health and safety protocols are implemented in all PE activities.
* Take an active role in extracurricular sports and school competitions.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the school’s PE program.
Requirements:
* QTS is not essential, but experience teaching both practical and theoretical PE is required.
* A strong understanding of GCSE PE curriculum and assessment criteria.
* Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring students.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
